

Sriram Kannan - Carnatic Vocal
Sriram Kannan is a graded artiste of All India Radio, Chennai in Carnatic vocal music. He possesses a flexible voice, a wide repertoire of compositions including rare varnams and brings a lot of concert experience. He is a performing artiste and has performed in many sabhas in Chennai including the likes of The Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, Kartik Fine Arts, Naada Inbam, Indian Fine Arts society & concerts on behalf of Tamil Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram)

Through his guru 'Padmashri Kalaimamani Sangeetha Kala Acharya Professor .S.R.Janakiraman', he inherits the rich tradition and singing styles of Vidwans - Tiger Varadachariar, Musiri Subramania Iyer, Tirupambaram Swaminatha Pillai, Brahmasri PK Rajagopala Iyer, Mayuram Krishna Iyer, TK Ramaswami Iyengar and Vidushi Brinda. Sriram was initiated in music at an early age, by Smt. Indira Menon, a disciple of Sangita Kalanidhi S Ramanathan.

He has accompanied his guru Prof.S.R Janakiraman for nearly 2 decades as vocal support in explanatory concerts, National programme of music - All India Radio, Sangeet Natak Akademi, Doordarshan Podhigai programmes and several concerts all over India.
